5 expert tips on executing an effective spend analysis

Hello AgencyGo fam, I hope that you enjoyed last week's newsletter on how to scale your appointment setters.

This week's newsletter is on how to scale your closers.

Once you can scale your closers to $1,000,000+ in revenue, you are essentially "free" from the day to day responsibilities of running a business.

That is, of course, once you have the operational side of the business locked down.

However, most of the digital marketing agency owners in our community usually have figured out the operations duplication process.

Most of them struggle primarily with duplicating their closers. And, once they do, they are finally able to make $10k / mo + in PASSIVE income from their business.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS

Even though there are a million different things to learn about scaling closers, I am going to attempt and describe the process in a concise way you can start applying immediately.

First and foremost, you need to know where to find a digital marketing agency closer.

Some of my favorite places are Indeed or LinkedIn if you are looking to hire employees as closers.

However, in my most recent video, I talk about how you might find a lot of great results by contracting agency owners doing between $50k and $100k per year.

These agencies have not yet scaled, but they are already trained on how to close digital marketing deals.

You simply feed them the leads, and they close.

Pretty straightforward.

Check out my video if you want to see how I structure their contracts, etc.

DETERMINING COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

There's a really good quote by Charlie Munger where he says, "you show me the incentives and I'll show you the outcomes."

This holds true in any business situation.

If your team is not properly motivated, you will not scale.

Closers are usually VERY ambitious people, so you need to give them a TON of incentive to scale.

The best way to determine their level of compensation is to have them make a personal business plan.

Think of this plan like a college admissions essay.

It's a free form self-examination where they tell you:

  • How much they want to make per year
  • How long it's going to take them to do so
  • What things they need to do to get there
  • Etc.

You can then use this as a goal post for you to guide them throughout the year.

If you would like to see how I structure a sales reps commission and wages based on this information, check out the video mentioned above.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

While this has been a brief examination into the world of scaling closers, I hope it has been informative.

Again, if you watch my video on scaling closers, you will see a more thorough examination into this subject.

At the end of the day, the only way you are going to scale closers is if you know how to close deals yourself.

If you haven't done that yet, then join AgencyGo and we will teach you how to add $10k MRR to your business guaranteed in our 90 day challenge.

Once you know how to close deals yourself, then with the right accountability and compensation structures, you'll be able to scale closers with ease.
